Janice L. Dreachslin, PhD, is a professor of Health Policy and Administration in the Management Division at the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies in Malvern, Pennsylvania and co-professor-in-charge of the MBA program.

M. Jean Gilbert, PhD, a medical anthropologist, is the principal of the consulting firm, Cultures in the Clinic, which advises health care organizations and conducts workshops for health care professionals.

Approaches Learning About Diversity From Many Angles

This book offers a great deal of information on addressing cultural competence and diversity in the healthcare setting.

I am half way through the book and especially appreciated the section on providing diversity training for all staff, not just healthcare workers.

This is a well written book and introduces multiple theories in a well organized and very understandable manner. I would definitely recommend it as a learning, training and future reference tool.

Cultural Competence Can Be Accomplished.

The best book I've read on this topic. Covers every aspect thoroughly. Should be in the hands of every nursing student and mandatory reading for all nursing schools/Universities as well as professionals and health care facilities.Can't say enough good about how the authors covered all detail regarding cultural diversity for nursing staff, support staff, to management and beyond. This is a teamwork effort if it is to be accomplished.

This book is littered with terrible run-on sentences, improper grammar and spelling errors and typos. I am convinced it was not proofread prior to publication. An effective getting started guide

Scott has written a useful introduction for business people who are interested in using new media and blogging platforms to improve their online presence. This is a short read, and doesn't dive into the technical details, but is more of a guide to develop your marketing strategy through Tumblr. Recommended as a concise and effective introduction to the platform.

Has some merit and needs lots of help

I just finished this little guide. It has a LOT of potential to be helpful to the Tumblr novice. My personal experience with Tumblr is limited to having actually visited the site prior to reading the guide and knowing it is a "blog" site. Other than that, I really knew nothing.

The Good:
The guide gives a few specific tips on making a Tumblr account work for anyone (stats, tools etc). It also makes a decent case as to why a business owner would WANT a Tumblr account. However, if you're reading the guide, you're not likely needing to be convinced of the "need" since you're already interested in digital marketing and social network marketing.

The Bad:
Scott needs a serious editor. I found the guide to be on the level of a high school essay. I am a former English teacher and feel well qualified to make that statement. I am sure that it might be Freshman in college level for some folks too. It is NOT a professional level publication by any stretch. Lots of grammar issues cluttered the prose and got in the way of the ideas. Additionally, it is clear that sometimes Scott didn't know HOW to say what he meant and used incorrect words or phrases.

I've read some other books published by Pearson Education and this one, so far, is the worst one for editing and content. There really isn't much content here. Scott could have and should have provided a LOT more technical help and ideas. I know I could not give this guide to my husband (who is a marine business owner) and expect him to come away with any reasonable help for using Tumblr. It is NOT for the person who truly doesn't know what Tumblr is. It is incredibly incomplete. And at $3.99, overpriced. It took me less than 1 hour to read and I'm quite sure that in that time I could've gotten free info online with better, specific help.

Scott, if you'd like a good editor, contact me. This little guide has serious potential, but honestly, it is lame as is. It needs editing and development. I can't see that if you don't take the time to format your work that your marketing advice is all that trustworthy. But your personality comes through enough that you don't SEEM like an utter slacker. Pearson did you a disservice by not having this guide fine tuned significantly and you did yourself a disservice by not asking for better help.

Great continuation!

Oh my gosh! From 60%-to the end was exceptional! Another slow start, but once the storyline hit an arc all was fair in love and war. Literally I could not stop myself page after page. The story just kept getting meatier the entire last half. Gen and Jude are an unstoppable duo. They have been through so many trials in such a short period of time that they both are finally realizing what they mean to each other no matter what. I LOVE Jude. Like seriously love him. Hard. The whole secondary characters from the villans to George and Kat. Everyone plays there part perfectly. I am absolutely going to go crazy before the last book is out next month. Seriously even though book 1 was a frustrating slow start. The pace in this one is on point.

Oh No!!! I need book three... that ending... I'm a little sad and anxious now...
Gosh... I liked book one but I LOVED book two... :)
Genevieve's character is maturing and evolving and she is growing more powerful every day. The race to keep her from being captured and possessed by the demons is tense and a full time job. Jude, her primary protector is such an intriguing character. I really like him. The tension filled connection between Gen and Jude is getting harder for them to resist. More specifically, sexual tension!
Jude oozes sex appeal but he's also very dark and dangerous. But, when it comes to the woman he loves, he is protective, patient, careful and honorable. I love how their connection to each other evolved into something very deep and emotional. His careful touch with her was surprisingly sweet. I love it when tough guys aren't afraid to show their tender side.
We have a surprise character jump in in this second book... Thomas... an angel who has his heart set on Genevieve. His character was and still is a mystery. What is he up too? His angelic aura is hard for Gen to resist.
And then there is Gen's Demon Hunter friend Kat... I adore her character... this description of her from the mind of Gen made me smile... it's perfect!

In a skintight black leather cat-suit, a silver zipper cinching her from pelvis to chest, knee-high boots that said I'll-kick-your-ass-into-tomorrow, her silken platinum hair swinging in tandem to her walk, she looked lethal and utterly stunning. I smiled. I wanted to be Kat when I grew up.

LOL... yep... so do I! She is fierce... and, a great friend to have at your side when you're being stalked by demons.
And, I must have more of Alexander, a fellow demon hunter who made his first appearance in this book. He was such an adorable flirt... he and Kat would make an interesting pair. But, somehow I think her friend George might object to that. I am curious about their story as well.

So, this series slowly hooked me in with book one but now I'm completely and totally hooked and anxiously waiting for the next installment. An edgy, engaging and emotional story with lots of interesting and intriguing characters that I can't wait to get to know better.

Passion and danger

Such a passionate, exciting book! The attraction that was ignited between them in the first book is not only sustained but heightened in this book. Temptation becomes harder to resist, and I love how it was resolved. Very hot and also very romantic. Jude is the sexy, brooding guy I love to read about, and more is revealed about his past.

There are more complications in this book. The lines between good and evil are blurred, making it more difficult to decide who to trust. It's much easier to make a costly mistake. Complex, flawed characters are more interesting than people who always make the right choices. The author takes us deeper into the richly detailed world she has created. I'm so glad I don't have to wait for the next book, because I need to know how Gen will deal with everything now.
