About the Author

Julian Beever first drew chalk scenes in the United Kingdom, then worked as an itinerant artist to perfect his skills while financing his travel to cities around Europe, the United States, Australia and beyond. "Weather and police officers were the main obstacles to work around," he writes. His art has appeared in New York City's Times Square, Paris, London and Buenos Aires and elsewhere.

Amazing book, amazing art!

An amazing book about an amazing artist! You won't believe your eyes! Julian Beever is a pavement chalk artist unlike any other. The drawings shown in this book appear so real, so lifelike, so dimensional, that you sometimes have to look extremely hard to find the sidewalk beneath. I've shown this book to young and old, and no one's been able to stop themselves from gazing in wonder at every page. I'm mesmerized by the pictures and completely intrigued by his techniques and this unique art form. A book you'll pick up again and again and again. Disappointed

I love the artwork of Julian Beever, but I am very disappointed by this book. Certainly, the photographs are of good quality, but they show only the finished picture, which you can all find on the internet. There is only one single picture showing the distortion of the drawing, which you also find on google pictures. The technical explanation has not one single photo to illustrate the working process! I'm really disappointed because I think Julian Beever is a very generous artist, but in his book he seems not to be wanting to reveal his (technical) knowledge- not very generous...

Photographs do not do justice to this mans work. I would dearly love to see the actual works of art. Brilliant. It's a pity that some of the pictures are not shown from a different point of view to see what they actually look like.

Just as great as the Understanding Wiring for Strats by Tim. His other book helped me to learn to wire and understand wiring on Strats. This book for Teles is just as good if not better. I was a total novice and the author told me in an email that I would be able to wire and understand
wiring if I followed his book and illustrations, he was right!!!!
Couldn't wait to get this and start building my Tele project. Shows the different types of wiring for two pickups or three pickup Teles which ever you prefer. Tim has great knowledge of the subject of wiring and he shares this in his books. I reccomend this to others, who may just be alittle gun shy on trying to wire guitars themselves. Get this book and start saving and doing things yourself. The money you save is worth the price of the book.

About the Author

Nicolas de Sadeleer teaches environmental law at the Facultés universitaires Saint-Louis in Brussels, where he is Director of their Environmental Law Centre, CEDRE. He was awarded a PhD with distinction in 1998 by Saint-Louis for his work on the application of environmental law principles to positive law. An updated version of the thesis was published in November 1999 in Belgium and Paris (Les principes du pollueur-payeur, de prévention et de précaution, Brussels, Bruylant/ Paris, AUF, 1999, 437 pp.). He is a guest lecturer in Université catholique de Louvain.

He is also a member of the IUCN and sits on the board of Environment Law Network International.
